The short version
Your measurements, prices, project names and calculation results stay on your device. Neither the website nor Android app requires an account, and Construction Calculator does not operate a database that stores your projects or calculator inputs.
What is stored on your device
- Preferences (unit system, fraction precision) in your browser's localStorage.
- Offline support: a service worker caches site files so calculations work without a connection.
- Android app data: unit and appearance preferences, favorites, recent calculations, local projects and review-prompt status are stored locally in the app.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate page views and generic events such as which calculator completed a calculation. It does not use tracking cookies. We never include measurement inputs, project names, locations or costs in analytics events.
Android app analytics and crash reporting
The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase for limited events such as which calculator was opened or completed, whether a favorite was selected, and whether the lifetime upgrade was viewed or purchased. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash, non-fatal error, device, operating-system and app-version diagnostics. Calculator IDs and formula versions may be included for debugging, but measurements, prices, project names, result values, notes and addresses are never included in analytics or crash reports.
Advertising and consent
The website may use Google AdSense and the Android app may use Google AdMob. Google may process advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device information and ad interactions to select, deliver, secure and measure ads. Where required, the Android app displays Google's consent form before requesting ads and provides a privacy-choices entry point. Purchasing Lifetime Pro removes ads from the app.
Depending on your location and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Review Google's advertising technologies and manage ad personalization in My Ad Center.
Purchases
Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. The app uses RevenueCat to validate and restore the purchase. Google Play and RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase token, product, price, currency, transaction status and related device or store information. Construction Calculator never receives or stores your payment-card details.
Service providers
Our service providers are Vercel (website hosting and aggregate web analytics), Google Firebase (app analytics and crash reporting), Google AdSense and AdMob (advertising and consent), Google Play (distribution, purchases and in-app reviews), and RevenueCat (purchase validation and restoration). Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Clearing data
Clearing your browser storage for this site removes everything stored locally by the website. On Android, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app to remove local preferences, history and projects. Google Play purchase records and provider-side legal or financial records are managed by Google Play and RevenueCat under their retention obligations; reinstalling the app lets you restore a valid lifetime purchase.
